US Republican Party members today talking about the economy and how what they're doing is good [for some reason] always makes me think of the Flat Earth people that actually believe in Flat Earth and aren't just trolling. I'm getting more and more convinced that Ripple itself is using their XPR coming from the escrow releases, to suppress XRP price and prevents it to rally up. It may be an untold agreement with SEC (they may have told Ripple not to let their "self made money", going too high and too soon before any conclusive regulation on the matter is made, or Ripple may undergo more scrutiny from SEC and other US federal agencies), or untold agreement with banks and financial institutions but the trend of XRP is not reflecting at all the increase of good fundamentals and good news about Ripple's XRP ledger. This continuous price suppression has the result of making other Crypto more attractive to buy and keeps frustrating XRP holders which eventually will revenge by selling as soon as the opportunity will come to sell without loss.
I am start to thinking that XRP price will remain around USD 2 for this whole year, while other cryptos will increase of 40, 60, 100% during the same time.
Besides, Ripple can use XRPL (the XRP Ledger) for cross-border settlement, without necessarily triggering high open-market demand for XRP if liquidity is managed internally or through partners.
That means that Ripple may use the stable coins provided by Hidden Road that Ripple has just acquired, and leave XRP in the limbo, only useful for Ripple to suck liquidity from XRP retail investors.
Whenever they see the price of XRP increases close to 2.30, they sell more XRP they obtained from the automated release from XRP escrow and suck liquidity and drag the price down again.
They are doing well for their own interests but they are burning their early retail investors, which bet on XRP horse believing it was a horse ready to win the race, but the horse owner preferred to have it run slower so others won and those who bet got burned.
